Greetings Friends!
Here’s some information on a summer recital I have booked at the beautiful Marysburg Cathedral in Marysburg, SK:
Gerard Weber in Concert featuring Naomi Suchan and Kristen Raney
July 30, 2016 7:30pm
Marysburg Cathedral
$15 / door
The program will feature works for saxophone and piano, including Light of Solthis by Amy Quate, Sonata in C# by Fernande Decruck, and Paul Suchan’s recently commissioned piece, Songs of Ebb and Flow. Also on the program is an arrangement of a Gregorian chant by Hildegard von Bingen, Alma Redemptoris Mater, for saxophone and live electronics, and Karen Tanaka’s Night Bird for saxophone and pre-recorded electronics.
I am excited to have Paul Suchan’s wife Naomi Suchan collaborate with me on this recital. Naomi and I have had a successful run of performances this summer and are looking forward to sharing some saxophone repertoire in Marysburg. I am also excited to have Kristen Raney perform at this recital – Kristen and I are both originally from Humboldt and have greatly benefited from the musical opportunities and fantastic music teachers in and around the community.

Hope to see you there!
